Active Love
Buzz and Jessie love to dance together, go on adventures to save their friends, and have play time with their new owner, Bonnie. Buzz and Jessie are a perfect example of active love. According to Marston and Hecht's love ways, "Active love is based on activity and doing things together. It also involves feelings of increased strength and self-confidence."(17) No doubt, Buzz and Jessie both experience a close bond and increased strength as well as a boost of self confidence after doing salsa dances together.
Routine Maintenance Behavior
Although the audience does not get to see the end product of Buzz and Jessie's relationship, there are a few things that can be inferred. First, Buzz and Jessie surely took part in routine maintenance behaviors. According to Guerrero (2011), "Routine maintenance behaviors are less strategic and deliberate. They are used without the express purpose of maintaining the relationship, yet they still help people preserve their bonds with one another."(16) For Buzz and Jessie's relationship, routine behaviors might include play time with Bonnie, improv with the crew, and visiting Sunnyside Daycare.
